Attending the cooking class at Monte Poro with Visit Mediterraneo was an extraordinary experience that exceeded all of my expectations. The stunning location, nestled in the heart of Calabria, provided the perfect backdrop for a day filled with culinary exploration and learning. The class itself was well-organized, with a thoughtful balance of hands-on cooking, expert instruction, and time to savor the delicious dishes we created.
Enzo, the organizer, was truly the heart of the experience. His passion for Calabrian cuisine was evident from the moment we arrived. He shared not only his extensive knowledge of local ingredients and traditional techniques but also the rich history and culture that make this region’s food so unique.
The recipes we learned were authentic and rooted in tradition, yet accessible enough to recreate at home. From fresh pasta to regional specialties, each dish was a celebration of local flavors and seasonal ingredients. Enzo’s guidance was clear and engaging, ensuring that everyone could follow along and learn valuable new skills.
We tasted our creations with a good local wine.

Enzo and chef Mimma came to our villa to cook and serve us a four course meal with a cooking class and matching Calabrian wines. It was our our Son’s 30th birthday and the whole family had come together from Australia and Ireland to celebrate. It was a fantastic evening and enjoyed immensely by everyone. The cooking class was great fun plus we learnt heaps from Mimma. The food was sensational and the local wines topped it off. Enzo’s passion, humour and approach put everyone at ease and immersed us in the experience. Mimma was a delight and they both joined our end of night photos.

Super Organisation für spannende Aktivitäten wie Kochen, Weinverkostungen und vieles mehr! Bevor ich meinen Gästen in Kalabrien etwas anbiete, teste ich natürlich! Bei Enzo weiß ich, dass meine Reisenden super aufgehoben sind! Kleine Gruppen und wirklich viel Spaß und Liebe und ein Einblick in die kalabresiche Kultur könnt Ihr hier erfahren!
