Can you put a microphone for Isha and Maghreb? My hearing is not what it used to be. Place is clean and people are loving and friendly. A nice place to thank Allah and only worship the Merciful

Beautiful Masjid and friendly community. The carpets are unique as well in their patchwork design.

Excellent location since not many masjids nearby, but the center is not women friendly.

Parking at juma time is limited but you can park on nearby streets and walk down.

Like ISGH masjids, khutbah/salah quality can be hit and miss, depending on the imam. Sometimes you get an exceptional speaker who knows the Quran and fiqh. Other time you scratch your head why someone is leading an important Muslim ibadah?

Women’s room is mostly locked and this is a serious limitation for them. The women are forced to pray in the main hall when their room is locked (almost always).

This is problematic for the women in terms of personal hijab, breastfeeding, managing small or disabled children appropriately, as well as social interaction with other women.

Ideally, it would be better to give women the choice to be in the main hall if they wish, but not force the women to there by keeping women’s room locked.

This masjid houses some of the best Islamic classes and personal sessions. They always have available drinks and plenty of staff to help new comers. Any time I come to this mosque, I always feel at home. Nothing every beats River Oaks Islamic Center.
