I had the pleasure of visiting the Forsyth Humane Society earlier this week and got to spend some time talking to the caretakers and playing with the dogs. The people here are wonderful, knowledgeable, and friendly. They genuinely care for the animals they watch over.

If you're looking to bring home a four legged family member or somewhere to volunteer a few hours of your time, Forsyth Humane Society is for you.

Really appreciate all of these guys! We adopted our beautiful, smart, amazing puppy from them just before Christmas. It is clear that they all really care about the animals they take in, and are very good at their job. I highly recommend looking for a new pet here, there's lots of sweet ones that really need homes! And they're certainly treated better here then they probably are at a breeder.

The staff and volunteers are so friendly and knowledgeable. They made adopting our cat go smoothly. We couldn't be happier with Nugget and he feels the same way already!

The staff is lovely. I’ve fostered many little fur babies and eventually adopted 3 beautiful kittens all from here. I’ll continue doing donations and participating in events coming up as well. These people are so kind and so helpful always doing what’s best for these beautiful animals.

I went with a friend to adopt a cat recently and was impressed by the facility. It looked like all the animals were well taken care of. However, upon bringing the kitten home and taking it to the vet for a new pet visit, he was found to have fleas, ear mites, AND worms. Of course now, the other cats have to be treated for these, as well as the house for the fleas. The humane society claimed the animals are all dewormed and treated for other parasites however this apparently is not the case. When questioned about this, staff was not only extremely unhelpful but actually hung up the phone. We are very disappointed and frankly upset about this situation and will NEVER do business with them again.

A great place to adopt animals. They are very helpful in finding an animal that will fit your family. They can also help you with supplies so that you can keep your pet if you fall on hard times. They also have a store where you can buy dog and cat toys and supplies for the general public.

I had to surrender a dog due to unfortunate circumstances. The process was extremely rushed giving myself and daughters little time to say goodbye. They also took my retractable leash and due to being rushed up front to pay the surrender fee, I didn’t think to ask for my leash back. When I called about it, I was told it was no longer there because they don’t use those kind. I was told they wouldn’t reimburse me and they did nothing to remedy the problem. The lady was very rude about the fact I was stole from.
