Terrible service. They cancelled our booking on the day and did not even try to contact us to let us know. We arrived, put in the key code and did not find the keys. When we called they told us the apartment was not available as there was a technical issue and that they had asked booking.com to contact us.
We were 5 people stranded and they did not offer any solutions to what to do, just told us to contact booking.com. No apologies from their end and they did not follow up, just cancelled the booking so we cannot review it.

If you're that uninterested in your clients, you should not be providing this service.

*UPDATE* I have read your reply and still cannot see any apology for all the inconvenience caused. Just a lot of excuses.
I have been using Booking.com for years and have never had such a terrible encounter. My hosts contact me in advance and never brush off things to booking.com.
P.S I did not receive a call from an Italian number. And you should understand that you should message your clients as they are on holiday! Not call them..it's summer, we go to swim etc. you could have tried but you did not. You did not care, and you have the audacity to defend yourself and blame us!

I stand by my review and DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE.

If I could leave a zero star review I would. Not only did the hosts fail to notify our group properly in advance they are trying to gaslight the one who booked.

The least you'd expect is a message from them letting you know something's up, not leaving a reply to the review saying you can't give us a one star because you didn't enjoy our services. The audacity.

I hope these reviews are a reality check to the hosts to change the way they communicate with their clients for the better.

As terrible as all this sounds, we managed to find a charming place further down!
